A few thoughts to consider when submitting a resume and applying for a job…
  • Consider listing all ministry and professional experience that you have.
  • Remember that you are not only being interviewed, but you are also interviewing the pastor and church.
  • Ask questions about their former team member who previously left the position you are interviewing for.
  • Ask questions about the senior/lead pastor (Years served, philosophy of ministry, church context – size, demographic, median age, etc.)
  • Please share communication preferences with listed and unlisted references.  (An unlisted reference could be a present or former employer.)  Sharing this information helps you with confidentiality and your need to update a present employer of your desire to search for other ministries.
