About Us

Pathway originally launched in 2008 under the leadership of Pastor Abe Daniel based out of the Northern-California/Nevada Assemblies of God district office. During what would become one of the worst economic seasons in US history, Pathway effectively partnered with the graduates of Bible Colleges/Universities and church based internships and launched them into ministry under the umbrella of an apprenticeship with churches that could not afford the full-time staff pastor. To provide for the educational needs many students had, Pathway connected students with our District school, Bethany University. At one point, our Pathway students consisted of 40% of their online/distance learning program prior to their closure in 2011. After five years of active ministry out of the district office, Pathway had launched 72 leaders into pastoral ministry.

Fast forward to 2019…

Pathway is now officially moved out of the district office and relaunched in its new headquarters of Trinity Life Center in Sacramento. During this season, we were noticing the need for a new way to get our students educated and credentialed for ministry and so we started brainstorming a new way to meet this need. We set out from the beginning to provide the highest quality education possible while at the same time making this credentialing journey as approachable and as affordable as possible. And here’s what we did…

We took all the education you need to get credentialed… and we put it on an app! What this means is that it gives our students a completely different educational experience. We have been amazed and humbled by how Pathway’s positive reception in our fellowship and we celebrate that in just over 4 years since our relaunch we have seen over 4,000 students across 20 countries engage with our courses.

Officially speaking, Pathway is a "Church-Based Bible Institute" approved by the General Council of the Assemblies of God. The education provided here will fulfill the educational requirements needed to apply for credentialing in the Assemblies of God.
