Pastors, thank you for allowing Pathway the opportunity to partner with your staffing needs. Our active subscribed students will be able to view your Job Listing and apply to it directly. Students that are interested will be able to respond to you directly, eliminating us as a middle man.
Please know that our Pathway team can only vouch for a student’s academic progress. Assessing your applicant based on their other competencies, character, chemistry, and capacity falls on you. Our intent is to make connections between churches and students allowing both parties to prayerfully consider each other and process God’s Will in moving forward.
A few thoughts to consider when posting a job…
- Conversations with students seeking employment through Pathway’s Job Board is not our endorsement of their qualifications and or calling to serve your ministry.
- Ask questions about their current ministry assignment. (Years served, philosophy of ministry, church context – size, demographic, median age, etc.)
- Ask for permission to contact their current pastor. (Some may feel uncomfortable until they are further along through your interview process.)
- Be prepared to write out a job description.
- Salary can be a generic range.
- Ask for references. References (listed and unlisted) should always be checked. (An unlisted reference could be a present or former employer.)
